The Ambouli (Ambouli Oued) is a seasonal water-bearing body of water in Djibouti .
description
It flows in a west-east direction into the city of Djibouti , where it turns north and flows into the Gulf of Tadjoura . It separates the older districts from the younger Balbala district . The Djibouti-Ambouli airport takes its name from the river.
The catchment area of the Ambouli covers around 600 km². Horticulture is practiced on its banks in the city. In the rainy season, floods can occur, in which 300 people were last killed in 2004.
