Ambrosio Valero (* 1984 in Granada ) is a Spanish pianist .

Life

Ambrosio Valero comes from a family of musicians. He started playing the piano at the age of four and was initially tutored by his father. He gave his first concert at the age of seven. Valero studied with José Luis Hidalgo at the Granada Conservatory . He obtained artistic inspiration from consultations with the pianists Joaquín Achúcarro , Daniel Barenboim , Jean Phillippe Collard , Christopher Elton , Jorge Luis Prats , Manuel Carra , Antonio Iglesias , Xenia Knorre , Daniel Blumenthal and Krystyna Makowska . He was also a student of the “International Music Course de Compostela” and the “International University of Andalusia”. Ambrosio Valero completed his concert exam with the top grade “summa cum laude” at the Royal Conservatory of Music “Victoria Eugenia” in Granada with Antonio Sánchez Lucena .

Appearances

Ambrosio Valero's concert activities took him to four continents. In addition to his piano recitals, he also gives guest performances with orchestras and chamber music ensembles. Recordings for radio and television were made in Spain and Bulgaria.

Awards

Ambrosio Valero won first prize in the “Soloist Competition of the Professional Conservatory of Music Ángel Barrios in Granada” and the “Soloist Competition of the Royal Conservatory of Music Victoria Eugenia” in Granada. He won the state prize “Manuel de Falla” and the “National Piano Competition Ciudad de Albacete”, in which he received all awards: 1st prize, the prize for the best interpretation of Beethoven's music, the prize for the best interpretation of Chopin's music and the award for the best interpretation of Spanish music. He also received a medal as a special prize for the best interpretation of Mompous music and the special prize for the best Spanish pianist of the “International Piano Competition Maria Canals” in Barcelona.
