The American Commerce Center was a skyscraper approved for construction in the US city of Philadelphia . After construction, the building was to be used as a hotel and office building. Walnut Grove Capital was the developer of the American Commerce Center. It was to be built on a site at 1800 Arch Street . The project planned in 2007 was dropped in 2011.

The building should have 63 floors and be 460 meters high. The actual roof was planned to be 369 meters high; a tapered glass structure should then bring the building to 460 meters (1510  feet ). The building planned by Kohn Pedersen Fox would have been the second tallest building in the USA after the One World Trade Center in New York City and should also have towered over the Willis Tower in Chicago . After the construction project was presented in 2007, it was announced in late summer 2011 that there was a high probability that the project would not be implemented. The reason for this is that years of searching for potential tenants were unsuccessful, as there is hardly any need for office space from 2007 , also due to the financial crisis .
