The American Journal of Cardiology (also: The American Journal of Cardiology) is a medical journal published by Elsevier , dealing with diseases of the heart and the cardiovascular system . All manuscripts submitted are subject to a peer review process . The editor is William C. Roberts . The periodical is the successor to the Transactions of the American College of Cardiology , published from 1951 to 1957, and the Bulletin of the American College of Cardiology , but should not be confused with the Journal of the American College of Cardiology .
