American roll-on roll-off carrier

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier LLC , ARC for short , is a US shipping company that operates with RoRo ships for the United States Department of Defense, among others .

history

The company was founded in 1990 and, like the shipping companies Eukor , UECC and WWL , belongs to the globally active Wallenius Wilhelmsen Group . The company is based in Baltimore , Maryland and the European office is in Bremerhaven .

ARC operates a fleet of RoRo ships with a system of fixed and height-adjustable decks. This system makes it possible to quickly adapt the ships to different loads and to maximize the load capacity.

The freighters Resolve , Endurance and Freedom brought several thousand vehicles for Operation Atlantic Resolve to Bremerhaven in January 2017 .
