American Oceania
American Oceania is a collective term used by the German Foreign Office for those outer areas of the United States that are in the Pacific Ocean . The term is used, among other things, in the German foreign trade statistics.
The three largest islands or archipelagos are Guam , American Samoa and the Northern Marianas ; Practically the entire population of American Oceania lives on these. In addition, there are the following smaller islands, which are also referred to as United States Minor Outlying Islands in official parlance with the addition of the Caribbean island of Navassa : Baker Island , Howland Island , Jarvis Island , Johnston Atoll , Kingman Island , Midway Islands , Palmyra Atoll , Wake Atoll .
