Amin al-Rihani (أمين الريحاني; English also Ameen Rihani ; * 1876 in Freike , Lebanon ; † September 13, 1940 in Freike) was a Lebanese writer .

He was born the eldest of six children to the Maronite silk manufacturer Al-Rihani and immigrated to New York City at the age of twelve . There he continued his mostly self-taught training and worked in his father's export trade. He dealt with literature at an early age.

He traveled several times to his homeland and neighboring countries. He became a personal friend of Ibn Saud , who later became King of Saudi Arabia . He is considered a theoretician of Arab nationalism and Arab unity and campaigned for the secularization of Arab states. He also supported the Palestinian question at the beginning of the 20th century. Al-Rihani was an important exponent of the Mahjar literary movement, which was developed by Arab emigrants in North America.
