Amir Zargari ( Persian زرگری مير; * July 31, 1980 in Chomein ) is a former Iranian cyclist .
Zargari was able to win a total of four medals in track cycling at the Asian Games up to 2006 . At the age of 18, he finished third in the points race in 1998 . In 2002 he was second in the team pursuit with the Iranian team . He repeated this placement with his team at the 2006 Asian Games , where he and Mahdi Sohrabi secured bronze in the two-man team .
On the road , Zargari won numerous races on the international cycling calendar, including the 2010 and 2011 overall ranking of the Tour de Singkarak . At national championships, he won seven medals in road races and time trials up to and including 2016 . He represented his country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and 2012 in Beijing , but could not reach the goal of the road race in each case.
