Amisodarus
Amisodaros ( Greek Ἀμισώδαρος or Ἀμισόδαρος ) is a person of Greek mythology .
According to Homer, Amisodarus is king of the Lycians and father of Maris and Atymnios , both of whom are killed by the sons of Nestor in the Trojan War . He raised the monster Chimaira , which is responsible for the death of many people. With Plutarch he is a pirate who is called Isaras (Greek Ἰσάρας ) by the Lycians and comes from the Lycian colony of Zelaia near Troy .
In the Scholion for the Iliad he is exchanged for Iobates and referred to as King of Caria and father of Bellerophon .
