Ammar at-Talibi

Ammar at-Talibi ( Arabic عمّار الطالبي, DMG ʿAmmār aṭ-Ṭālibī ; * 1934 in Algeria ) is an Algerian university professor and politician. He is a former member of the Algerian Parliament. He is professor of philosophy at the University of Algiers and has also taught at various other universities.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( Engl. A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (Engl. "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... ") (October 13, 2007).

His publications include works on Ibn Badis , the theology of the Kharijites , the theology and philosophy of Abu Bakr ibn Arabi and the publication of the A'azz mā yuṭlab by Ibn Tumart , the Mahdi of the Almohads .
