Amor Eterno ( Spanish for Eternal Love ) is a song by the Mexican singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel , which was first published in 1984 in the version of the Spanish singer Rocío Dúrcal . It has become part of Mexican folk culture and was sung by the Mexican tenor Fernando de la Mora when the ashes of the late Juan Gabriel were transferred to the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City .
