history

It was recognized from the beginning that the image part of the film needed an extension at both ends so that it could be clamped into devices several times without damage. Even when loading a film camera , you need to add material that can be exposed to light before exposing rows of images in the locked device. In the 1920s, it was common to offer small portions of 100 feet (30 meters) of film with two-tone paper bulbs (extensions). This is guaranteed for normal film and narrow film 16. Even today, microfilm is available in stores with a strip of paper around the roll, colored red inside and black outside. However, sticking on such paper amorce was more expensive than the delivery of additional raw film , which is why it is no longer known today. In everyday operation of cinemas has polyester -Amorce proven because it is resistant to tearing.
