‣ Topic overview |
An ampallang is a piercing that is pierced horizontally through the glans . The ampallang is closely related to the apadravya , a similar piercing that runs vertically through the glans.
execution
The ampallang runs horizontally through the glans of the penis. It crosses the urethra or runs just above it. The version that runs through the urethra creates two shorter puncture canals that heal faster than a longer one.
Sexual intercourse is possible after two weeks. The use of condoms prevents the risk of inflammation from sexual intercourse. Careful masturbation , on the other hand, is almost painless after just a few days.
When preparing for the Ampallang piercing, it is advisable to measure the full diameter of the erect glans (from the respective entry to the exit point of the Ampallang).
history
Ampallang and Apadravya emerge from a piercing, historically no distinction was made in their names. It was not until the 20th century that the terms for the horizontal or vertical variant became established. For a more detailed treatise on the history of piercing, see History of Apadravya .
Variations
The cross combination of an Ampallang with an Apadravya is called a Magic Cross . Occasionally, a shaft ampallang is also performed, which is usually placed through the penis shaft directly below the glans. The complete healing time is about three to six months.
