Ampparit.com is a Finnish web news portal founded in 2004 . The service collects news from more than 250 source media and shows the categories in a list. It is also possible to search for a message. In addition to the news, the page contains information about the weather, television programs, a news map, a web television station, and a blog . The users can create their own profiles and thereby filter the content of the website.
Versions
Mobile versions
Two mobile versions have been developed: Ampparit Mini for mobile phones with small screens, and Ampparit Lite for devices with larger monitors. There are also applications for iPhone , Android and Windows Phone .
Witpik
Witpik is a tool for professional media monitoring that was developed for the Ideka 2006 concept competition under the name Ampparit Pro - Business Intelligence . The name was changed to Witpik Media Monitoring in 2010 due to the expansion of the service for the Russian market . Witpik's mobile version was released later that year.
popularity
In 2011 , Ampparit.com ranked 30th in a study by TNS Metrix on the number of visitors to Finnish websites with more than 300,000 visitors per week. It was also one of the most visited websites. According to information from TNS Metrix and a request from Digitoday, Ampparit.com is the most popular news portal in Finland.
