Amshausen is a district of the Steinhagen community in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany and belongs to the Gütersloh district .

Amshausen has 3326 inhabitants. The district is divided into Ober- and Niederamshausen, which are divided from each other by the former B 68 and today's L 756.

Worth mentioning are the Friedrich-von-Bodelschwingh-Haus with adjoining kindergarten, the gymnastics and sports club (TSV) Amshausen, the old fire brigade meeting place, the volunteer fire brigade , the Friedrichshöhe and the Hörmann company .
