history
As part of the introduction of the rural community order for the province of Westphalia , the Ahlen office was founded in the Beckum district in 1843. It initially comprised the communities of Altahlen , Neuahlen , Dolberg and Heessen .
In 1914 the administration was moved from Ahlen to Heessen and the office was renamed Amt Heessen . Altahlen, Neuahlen and Dolberg retired from this in 1921 and formed the Ahlen office again.
Through the law on the incorporation of the municipalities of the Ahlen office into the city of Ahlen , the municipalities Altahlen, Neuahlen and Dolberg were incorporated into the city of Ahlen on July 1, 1969 and at the same time the office of Ahlen was dissolved. His legal successor is the city of Ahlen.
