history

Official pharmacist Georg Mergler

The pharmacy in Hachenburg was licensed on February 18, 1799 by Burgrave August von Kirchberg and on August 19, 1799 by Princess Isabella von Nassau in the presence of her husband, Prince Friedrich Wilhelm von Nassau-Weilburg . The owner was the medical councilor Vogler. Since he was not allowed to run a pharmacy as a doctor, he sold the pharmacy to a relative, JHC Vogler. In accordance with the medical edict of 1818, he was appointed official pharmacist for the Hachenburg office and remained in this position until his death in 1831.

After his death, the pharmacy candidate Georg Mergler from Lorch acquired the pharmacy and, after passing the exam, was appointed official pharmacist in the same year. In 1869 the pharmacy became the property of his son Wilhelm Mergler , who succeeded him as the official pharmacist .
