Georg Joseph Mergler (* the thirtieth August 1805 in Lorch , † 28. March 1881 in Hachenburg ) was Nassauischer Office pharmacist and politician.

Georg Mergler was the son of the innkeeper Conrad Mergler (born June 8, 1756 in Hofheim am Taunus, † June 2, 1842 in Lorch) and his wife Magdalena nee Travers used. Altenkirch (born July 26, 1764 in Lorch; † April 1, 1834 there). Georg Mergler, who was a Catholic denomination, married Elisabethe, born Jüngst on April 16, 1833 in Hachenburg (born August 27, 1811 in Emmerichenhain , † January 31, 1847 in Hachenburg). Their son Wilhelm Mergler (1835-1909) married the daughter of the Reichstag delegate and Kronberg official apother Georg Wilhelm Neubronner (1813-1894) and became his father's successor himself as the official pharmacist and member of the Nassau municipal parliament .

Georg Mergler became a pharmacist and in 1831 acquired the Hachenburg District Pharmacy . In accordance with the medical edict of 1818 , he was appointed official pharmacist and was thus responsible for the supply of medicines in the Hachenburg office.

In 1864 and 1865 to 1866 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Duchy of Nassau for constituency IV (Hachenburg / Marienberg) . He belonged to the Nassau Progressive Party .

He is buried in the Steinweg cemetery in Hachenburg.
