Wilhelm Mergler

Wilhelm Heinrich Mergler (* 1. May 1835 in Hachenburg , † 7. December 1909 ibid) was Nassauischer Office pharmacist and politician.

Georg Mergler was the son of the official pharmacist and deputy Georg Joseph Mergler (born August 30, 1805 in Lorch ; † March 28, 1881 in Hachenburg) and his wife Elisabethe, born Jüngst (born August 27, 1811 in Emmerichenhain ; † January 31, 1847 in Hachenburg). Wilhelm Mergler married on January 6, 1882 in Kronberg im Taunus the daughter of the Reichstag deputy and Kronberger official apother Georg Wilhelm Neubronner (1813-1894).

Wilhelm Mergler himself became his father's successor as an official pharmacist and in 1869 took over the Hachenburg official pharmacy . In accordance with the medical edict of 1818 , he was appointed official pharmacist and was thus responsible for the supply of medicines in the Hachenburg office.

In Hachenburg he was the head of the city council and the founder and commander of the volunteer fire department. From 1894 to 1907 he was a member of the district committee of the Oberwesterwaldkreis . From 1899 to 1909 he represented the Oberwesterwaldkreis as a member of the Nassau municipal parliament . He was a member of the Finance, Submissions, and Audit Committee.
