Amy Sackville
Amy Sackville (born 1981 ) is a British writer.
Life
Amy Sackville studied English and Theater Studies at Leeds University (BA) and Exeter College , Oxford (MPhil). She also received a Masters in Creative Writing from Goldsmiths College , London .
Her debut novel Still Point was nominated for the Orange Prize for Fiction and received the 2010 John Llewellyn Rhys Prize . She won a Somerset Maugham Award in 2014 with the novel Orkney . Your third, well-educated, novel Painter to the King is about the court painter Diego Velázquez .
Sackville teaches creative writing at the University of Kent .
