Markus Bader (* 1974 in Füssen ) is a German actor and director .

Life

Markus Bader was born in the Allgäu , where he grew up. From 1991 to 1993 he completed his acting studies at the drama school " Schauspiel München " (direction: Hans Dieter Trayer ) with Silvia Andersen and Werner Eggenhofer. In addition, between 1995 and 2001 he received regular private acting lessons while studying roles with Inge Langen .

He had his first theater engagements from 1995 at the Klosterhof open-air theater in Füssen and at the Deutsches Theater in Munich (1997/98 season). At the Klosterhof Games, he played Boandlkramer in Der Brandner Kaspar and Eternal Life for several years in a row from 1995 to 2001 and also the tailor Zwirn in Lumpazivagabundus (1998). This was followed by engagements at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (2001/02 season, including as Air Officer Hartmann in Des Teufels General ), at the Hamburg Musical Theater (2001–2006, European tour with Das Phantom der Oper as Raoul), at the Schwäbisch Hall open-air theater (2006–2007) , at the Theater an der Kö in Düsseldorf (2008), at the Komödie im Bayerischer Hof in Munich and at the Comödie Bochum (2009).

In addition, from 2001 onwards he undertook numerous tours through German-speaking countries with various tour theaters. He worked u. a. in tour production with the “Neue Schaubühne München”, the “Bühne 64” in Zurich (direction: Margot Medicus ) and the “ Euro-Studio Landgraf ”, where he worked with directors such as Michael Hinz , Karin Boyd , Helmuth Fuschl and Thomas Stroux worked. On tours he performed a. a. in the plays The Count of Monte Christo (2002, title role), Anatevka (2002, as a young Russian Fedja), The Servant (2005, as Sir David) and Johnny Belinda (2005, as Dr. Robert Richardson).

In 2009/10 he played the robber Mathias Kneißl , the Bavarian Robin Hood , in the play Hias Kneißl at the Volksbühne Füssen in the Füssen Festival Hall . In a production of the independent group of artists "MASKéNADA" he took over in 2012 in Luxembourg the title role in Schnitzler's drama Anatol . In the 2015/16 season he made another guest appearance at the Komödie im Bayerischer Hof and toured Germany with the production Two unsuspecting angels . In the 2016/17 season he appeared in a stage version by Harold and Maude (with Anita Kupsch and Johannes Hallervorden in the leading roles) at the Schlosspark Theater in Berlin and at the Komödie im Marquardt in Stuttgart .

Markus Bader made his directorial debut as a theater director in 2006 with the tabloid comedy Spring in September . Between 2006 and 2010 he staged various productions at the Theater an der Kö, at the Comödie Bochum and at the “Neue Schaubühne München”. In 2013 he realized a production of Der Mustergatte with Roberto Blanco for the concert and guest performance directorate Bentz & Partner .

Bader also stood in front of the camera for several television productions. He had gigs a. a.ö in the television series Countdown - The Hunt Begins (2012), Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei (2013) and Monaco 110 (2014). He appeared several times in SOKO 5113 , Forbidden Love and Storm of Love . In December 2014, he was seen alongside Eli Wasserscheid in an episode role in the series SOKO 5113 as the violent ex-husband of a rape victim.

Bader has lived as a freelance artist in Munich and Cologne since 1995 .
