Michael Hinz

Michael Hinz (born December 28, 1939 in Berlin ; † November 6, 2008 in Munich ) was a German theater and film actor .
Life
As the son of the actor couple Werner Hinz and Ehmi Bessel , Michael Hinz grew up with his brother Knut and his half-sister Dinah in Berlin and Hamburg . Hinz trained as a theater actor in Hamburg. In 1958 he made his stage debut with Willy Maertens at the Hamburg Thalia Theater and a year later he had his first film role in the award-winning anti-war film Die Brücke and became known nationwide. In the 1963 crime drama Das Feuerschiff based on a book by Siegfried Lenz , he played the role of Fred Freytag, the son of the captain played by James Robertson Justice , directed by Ladislao Vajda . For his portrayal, he was awarded the gold film tape as the best young actor.
From December 1972, Hinz played the player Herbert Falke in the sports series, soccer coach Wulff , played by Horst Niendorf . Michael Ande was also part of the game as a player. In the 13 episodes of the family series Eichholz & Sons , which were first broadcast in 1977 , Hinz played together with his father Werner and his brother Knut . Also in the series they were father and son or brothers. Brigitte Horney was occupied as the sister of the deceased mother (Aunt Charlotte Daniel) . This was followed by the English children's series Five Friends after Enid Blyton , in which Hinz played 25 episodes of Quentin Kirrin, the father of the girl Georgina, who would much rather be a boy, and the uncle of the siblings Anne, Julian and Dick.
Hinz's first marriage was to the actress Ingrid van Bergen . Their daughter, Carolin van Bergen , who died in 1990, was also an actress. In 1967, while filming the television series Hauptstrasse Glück , Hinz met Viktoria Brams , whom he married a year later. The marriage has two children.
After a stroke , Hinz was in a coma for several weeks until his death at the age of 68 in November 2008 . His urn was buried in Munich's Westfriedhof .
