Aníbal Cesis Godoy (born February 10, 1990 in Panama City ) is a Panamanian football player who is mostly used as a midfielder . He is currently under contract with the San José Earthquakes .

Career

Club career

Godoy came from the youth team of Chepo FC and came there for his first professional assignment. After a few years he ventured to Europe and moved to Hungary to Honvéd Budapest . After two years in which he did not get beyond the role as a supplementary player, he moved to the Major League Soccer to the San José Earthquakes . There he made his debut on August 14, 2015 in a 1-0 win over the Columbus Crew .

National team

Godoy took part in the 2007 U-20 World Cup in Canada with the U-20 national team of Panama .

He made his debut for the senior team in March 2010 in a friendly against Venezuela . Since then, Godoy has played 60 international matches, 16 of which were qualifying matches for a soccer World Cup .
