The two adult daughters of a doctor mourn their deceased father. The mood only improves when the older brother tells them that he has improved their financial situation by selling part of the property. Due to the late hour, he deposited the proceeds in the safe of the house. The greedy housemaid tries to get possession of it with the help of a criminal relative. While the safe is being broken into, the daughters in the next room are threatened with a gun. Nevertheless, they manage to inform the brother who frees them and saves the money.
