Anaïs Lueken

Anaïs Lueken (born July 20, 1983 in Paris ) is a German- Danish musical performer .

Professional development

After graduating from high school, Lueken completed a diploma course in acting, singing and dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen . Already during his studies Lueken played the Chava in Anatevka on a Denmark tour and played the cover of Roxie Hart in Chicago . After graduating in 2008, she worked in an ensemble, as a soloist and as a swing in numerous musical productions.

Lueken has appeared as Ottilie Giesecke in the White Horse Inn at the Domfestspiele in Bad Gandersheim, as Belle in Beauty and the Beast at the Frøbjerg Festival and as Nessarose in Wicked at the Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen . In 2012, she played the Blondgirl in Blondgirl Undercover, and then Meg Giry in Love Never Dies .

In 2014/2015 Lueken was engaged at the Ronacher in Vienna for Mary Poppins, among others as Winifred Banks and in the title role of Mary Poppins .

Since the 2015/16 season she has been a permanent member of the musical ensemble at the Landestheater Linz , where she includes Kathy Selden in Singin 'In The Rain , Sally Simpson in The Who's Tommy , Flammchen in Grand Hotel and Cinderella in Into the Woods embodies.

Lueken opened the 2016/17 season as Aouda in the world premiere of the play Around the World in 80 Days. She played Natalja in the European premiere of the musical Preludes by Dave Malloy . In the German-language premiere of the musical Ghost - Message from Sam based on the film of the same name, Ghost - Message from Sam , which premiered on March 18, 2017, she played the lead role of Molly Jensen .

In the musical “The Hare with Amber Eyes”, which premiered on March 6, 2019, by Henry Mason (book and lyrics) and Thomas Zaufke (music) based on the world bestseller “The Hare with Amber Eyes. A Hidden Inheritance “by Edmund de Waal embodies Lueken Sue , Edmund de Waals' wife, and his grandmother Elisabeth von Ephrussi .
