Thomas Zaufke

Thomas Zaufke (born December 11, 1966 in Bremen ) is a German composer .

Life

Zaufke has in the 80 years of remedial courses " Youth composes " , the GEMA and VDMK visited and studied from 1987 at the University of Arts in Berlin . Since 1995 he has been active in the fields of musicals and incidental music. During his studies, Zaufke also took to the stage as a musical performer for various productions, such as Anything goes and Cabaret . Since 1995 Zaufke has dedicated himself to the areas of "musical" and "stage music". In collaboration with the author and director Peter Lund , he created the music for numerous pieces, such as Baby Talk (2000), Elternabend (2003) and Mein Avatar und Ich (2010), all of which premiered at the Neukölln Opera in Berlin.

Zaufke has already worked for many houses and productions: for example, he has composed for the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus ( Pünktchen and Anton and Ronja Räubert Daughter ), the Schauspielhaus Hannover (Ugly Ducklings) , the Schauspiel Kiel (Moby Dick) and the Berlin GRIPS Theater ( Rosa and The faxing thickness ). Zaufke also composed and arranged for the Leipzig Gewandhaus , the Renaissance Theater in Vienna , Gayle Tufts , Irmgard Knef , Tim Fischer , Isabel Weicken , Daniela Ziegler , Hartwig Rudolz and for Kein Pardon - Das Musical .

Zaufke also worked as a vocal dubbing voice for various Disney productions (including Die Schöne und das Biest II ).

Further commitment

Zaufke has been a member of the jury for the award of the German Musical Theater Prize since 2015 .
