Ana Alcaide (* 1976 in Madrid ) is a Spanish musician, composer, music producer and studied biologist who now lives in Toledo .

Live and act

Alcaide received classical violin lessons at the age of seven . She later studied music at the Conservatorio de Getafe in Madrid and then at the Lund University in Lund ( Sweden ). Further training followed in Spain, Sweden and Mexico.

She is also a qualified biologist, specializing in botanist at the Complutense University of Madrid . After graduating in botany in 2000, she temporarily went to Sweden to learn the traditional, medieval Swedish musical instrument, the nyckelharpa . Another stay in Sweden followed in 2005. During this long stay, she began to expand her experience with the nyckelharpa, but also studied other instruments and developed her singing. There she graduated from Musikhögskolan i Malmö with a bachelor's degree in performing arts .

Alcaide released her debut album Viola de Teclas in 2006. With her second album, Como la luna y el sol from 2007, she interpreted traditional Sephardic music .
