Ana Mcheidse

Ana Mcheidze ( Georgian ანა მხეიძე ; * 1951 in Bolnisi , † 1998 in Tbilisi ) was a Georgian writer.

Life

She was born into a family of doctors. Her mother was Ukrainian . After finishing school, she began studying at the Faculty of Economics at the Tbilisi State University in 1968 . From 1972 she worked as an economist in the council of the Tbilisi district of Gldani . In 1981 her first short story arcevani me appeared in Ziskari magazine . Further stories appeared in various magazines. In her work she paints a modern picture of a self-confident, self-determined woman that breaks with old conventions of Georgian society.
