Ana Nikolić

Ana Nikolić ( kyr. Ана Николић ; born September 27, 1978 in Paraćin , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian pop singer .

Childhood and youth

Ana Nikolić spent her childhood in Jagodina. After the completion of the languages high school , she attended the Polytechnic University in Belgrade and graduated in shoe design.

She had her first television appearance in 1998 in the music game show 3K DUR , in which she performed the song Kolačići by Marina Perazić .

Career

In 2003 she appeared with her song January on the electoral program Beovizija 2003 and received the 2004 Newcomer of the Year award. After that she released her first studio album entitled January under the City Records label .

After the first album, she took an artistic break and then entered the 2006 Beovizija, the then qualifying for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 , with the song Romale Romali and reached fourth place.

In 2007 she released her second album Devojka od čokolade (Girls from Chocolate). In the same year she went on tour under the title Čokolada .

In December 2008 she released an album with her biggest hits and two new songs as The platinum collection .

At the Beovizija 2009 she appeared as a replacement for the singer Nataša Bekvalac with the song Bili smo najlepši (We were the most beautiful). Due to a miscalculation, she was only subsequently nominated for the final, but did not appear in protest.

In 2012 she released Baksuze , the first single from the 2013 album Milion Dolara . On July 9, 2013, the premiere of the single Milion Dolara followed , which gave the album its name.

Reception in the media

Nikolić quickly became known in the Balkans for her image as a seductive femme fatale . However, she herself regards this image as a pure stage personality.
