Ana Paula Ribeiro Tavares

Ana Paula Ribeiro Tavares (born October 30, 1952 in Huíla ) is an Angolan historian and poet .

In her capacity as historian, she headed the Gabinete de Investigação do Centro Nacional de Documentação e Investigação Histórica in Luanda from 1983 to 1985 and was a member of the jury of the Prémio Nacional de Literatura de Angola in 1988 and 1989.

In 1996 it acquired in at the New University of Lisbon the degree of Magister in African literature Portuguese.

She has lived in Lisbon for years and is a freelancer there for the Instituto de Investigação Científica Tropical .

With poetry and prose she contributed to various anthologies in Portugal, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain and Sweden.
