Ananindeua is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Pará and a suburb of the capital Belém . With 525,566 inhabitants (2018), Ananindeua is the second largest municipality in Pará. Ananindeua lies like an entrance gate in front of the metropolis of Belém on a river peninsula. So it is only natural that both the industry and the satellite cities of Belém are mainly located on the territory of Ananindeua, which means that its 26-year-old prefect, elected in 2004 and affectionately known by the first name "Helder" by his voters, has immense regional tax revenues in the Flushes cash registers.
