The Anare Pass is a wide, icy and up to 1200 m high mountain pass in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is the highest point of a glacier system that bounds the south side of the Anare Mountains and separates them from the Admiralty Mountains and the Concord Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the pass following the designation of anare mountains after the acronym for A ustralian N ational A ntarctic R esearch E xpeditions .
