Anca Grigoraș

Anca Grigoraş , after marriage to Anca Mihăilescu (born November 8, 1957 in Comăneşti ) is a former Romanian gymnast .

She started gymnastics in 1965. In 1972 she took part in the Olympic Games in Munich and reached sixth place with the Romanian team. At the European Championships in 1973 Grigoraş won the bronze medal on the balance beam. She also reached sixth place on the uneven bars in London.

1974 Grigoraş was fourth with the Romanian team at the World Championships . In 1976 she took part in the Olympic Games . In Montreal Grigoraş won the silver medal with the Romanian team with Nadia Comăneci , Mariana Constantin , Georgeta Gabor , Gabriela Truşcă and Teodora Ungureanu . She also competed in the individual all-around, on the floor, on the balance beam, on the uneven bars and in the jump, where she did not make it into the final.

At the World Championships in 1978 Grigoraș was runner-up with the team. Her last international appearance was at the Universiade in 1979.

After her competitive sports career, Grigoraş was active as a trainer, in 1990 she became national trainer. She was also a referee and member of the technical commission of the Union Européenne de Gymnastique .
