Teodora Ungureanu , after marriage to Teodora Cepoi , (born November 13, 1960 in Reșița ) is a former Romanian artistic gymnast .

She started gymnastics in Reșița at the age of nine. At eleven she moved to Oneşti , where Nadia Comăneci also trained. In 1976 she took part in the Olympic Games . In Montreal, Ungureanu won the silver medal with the Romanian team with Nadia Comăneci, Mariana Constantin , Georgeta Gabor , Anca Grigoraş and Gabriela Truşcă . She also won silver on the uneven bars, bronze on the balance beam and came fourth in the individual all-around.

At the European Gymnastics Championships in 1977 Ungureanu reached fourth place in the all-around competition, was seventh on the uneven bars and eighth in the jump. In 1978 she won the silver medal at the World Championships with the Romanian team. At the Universiade 1979 she won gold three times, in all-around, on the uneven bars and on the balance beam, as well as silver on the floor and bronze on the jump.

In 1980 she married Sorin Cepoi , also a gymnast and Olympian in 1976 and 1980. After their sports careers, the two appeared in the circus and worked as trainers, first in Romania and then in France. In 1993 they moved to the USA.

In 2001 she was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame .
