And Yet It Moves is a multiplatform game from the independent developer Broken Rules. The release of the Windows version was on 2 April 2009, in August 2010, the game also appeared as a WiiWare title. In January 2015, an iOS version of the game was released under the slightly changed name Yet It Moves . Furthermore, the title is part of the third Humble Indie Bundle .

Gameplay

And Yet It Moves is a typical platformer with puzzles. The world is formed by a collage of scraps of paper. The player controls his character through linearly structured levels with the aim of reaching the end point. He has the opportunity to rotate the world around his own axis, which has a corresponding influence on physical effects such as gravity . Since the direction of rotation changes immediately, the impulse force of all objects is retained. The player can die from falls and other dangers, which makes many puzzles even more difficult. There are a total of 17 levels that take place in three different environments.

In the WiiWare version, the rotation of the world is achieved by rotating the Wii remote control accordingly , which (in contrast to the PC version) enables stepless movement. In addition, this version contains three bonus levels.

criticism

And Yet It Moves' average Metacritic rating is 75%.
