Anders Bakken (born June 20, 1955 in Lillehammer ) is a former Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Bakken, who started for the Lillehammer Ski Club , had his first international success at the Junior European Championships in Lieto in 1975 . There he won the gold medal with the relay. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1978 , he achieved 13th place over 30 km and 12th place over 50 km. The following year he won the 15 km run at the Lahti Ski Games and also finished third over 50 km. In 1978 and 1979 he won the Birkebeinerrennet . In his only Olympic participation in February 1980 in Lake Placid , he ran in 15th place over 50 km. In March 1980 he came fourth at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival . The following year he finished second at the Lahti Ski Games over 50 km. He completed his last international race in January 1982 in Reit im Winkl at the first official World Cup race , which he finished in eighth place over 15 km. At Norwegian championships he won over 50 km in 1981 and in 1982 with the relay. He was also at Norwegian championships in 1978 over 50 km, in 1980 over 15 km, in 1981 over 30 km and in 1978 and 1983 with the relay third.
