Anderson is located in northeast Alabama in the southern United States, about 6 kilometers south of the Tennessee border .
history
The place originated in 1825 as Andersons Creek , named after the settler Samuel Anderson, who built flour mills here. In 1860 it was renamed Anderson , and in the same year the place received a post office.
