The Anderson River is a 40 km long left tributary of the Fraser River in the southern Canadian province of British Columbia .

course

The Anderson River rises 10 km west of the Coquihalla Pass in the Northern Cascade Range at an altitude of 1400  m . It initially flows a short distance west before turning north. 10 km above the mouth, the East Anderson River meets the river from the right. This finally reaches the Fraser River 2 km south of the Boston Bar settlement . The British Columbia Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) and the Canadian National Railway cross the Anderson River immediately above its mouth. This is located in the Fraser Canyon , an approximately 270 km long canyon through which the Fraser River flows. The catchment area of the Anderson River covers 492 km².
