The Andersson Nunatak is a 185 m high nunatak at the northeastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 1.5 km west of Sheppard Point from a coastal cliff on the north coast of Hope Bay .
The Nunatak was discovered by Johan Gunnar Andersson (1874-1960), deputy head of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901-1903), who wintered with a team in 1903 at Hope Bay. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey named it after a survey carried out in 1945 after its discoverer.
