Andersson Peaks

The Andersson Peaks are a 534  m high mountain with double peaks on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It rises north of Mount Hodges and northwest of Bore Valley on the Thatcher Peninsula . It serves as a landmark for the hike from Grytviken to the Carr Valley .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 2015 after Johan Gunnar Andersson (1874-1960), deputy head of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901-1903) under Otto Nordenskjöld and first climber of the route from Maiviken Bay through the Bore Valley to Grytviken, below of the mountain runs.
