András Szente (born December 10, 1939 in Budapest , † September 14, 2012 in Florida , United States ) was a Hungarian canoeist .

Szente started for Ferencváros Budapest and took part in two Olympic Games . In Rome in 1960 he won the silver medal in a single kayak and a two-person kayak . In 1964 he finished fourth in a four-person kayak . He also won two silver medals at world championships (1958 in a four-person kayak, 1966 in a single kayak).

Szente died at the age of 72 in the United States, where he had emigrated after the end of his sporting career.
