André Dills was a Belgian racing car driver .

Career

André Dills was a works driver for the Belgian automobile company Excelsior in international sports car races in the 1920s . In 1923 he was one of the racing drivers who competed in the first 24-hour Le Mans races in motorsport history. Together with his compatriot and team partner Nicolas Caerels , he achieved sixth place in the overall ranking on an Excelsior Albert 1er.

He was entered in the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race three times . In 1925 it failed due to a technical defect in the 3.5-liter Excelsior Ade Sport; In 1926 he reached ninth place overall. Both times Nicolas Caerels was his team partner again. In 1927 he was second overall in Spa.
