André Forker (born July 31, 1979 in Dresden ) is a former German luge athlete .

André Forker has been an active luge athlete since 1989 and initially trained at the Dresden Police Sports Club . He celebrated his greatest successes on the two-seater with his long-term partner Sebastian Schmidt . The police master started for the SSV Altenberg . Since 1992 he has been trained in the state performance center for bobsleigh, luge and biathlon . The team already sledged together in the junior area. In 1998 they became the junior team world champion and junior vice world champion in Sigulda .

Schmidt / Forker finished tenth at the 2001 World Championships. So far it has been better at the European Championships. In 2000 the duo became fifth, and in 2006 they were vice European champions in Winterberg . In the overall World Cup, they came in sixth in 2005, and fifth in 2006. Twice, in 2005 in Lake Placid and in 2006 in Altenberg (with a track record time), they were able to win a World Cup race. At German championships the team became champions in 2002 and 2006, runner-up in 2000 and 2001 and third in 2003. The coach of the duo was Uwe Günter. After they were not nominated for the 2007 World Cup , they announced their immediate retirement
