André Lambert (architect)

André Lambert (born May 12, 1851 in La Chaux-de-Fonds , † February 20, 1929 in Jávea ) was a Swiss architect .

Life

Lambert studied with Georges-Ernest Coquart (1831–1902) at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts , with Eugène Viollet-le-Duc at the École Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris and at the later Technical University of Stuttgart with Christian Friedrich von Leins . In 1883 he founded the German architect Eduard steel architects law firm Lambert & Steel in Stuttgart. In 1902 and 1903 he was registered as Andreas Lambert at Silberburgstrasse 178 in Stuttgart.

He was u. a. the father of the graphic artist and painter André Lambert (1884–1967) who studied art with Hugo von Habermann and Fernand Cormon .
