André Pollehn

André Pollehn (born May 3, 1969 in Hamburg ) is a former German motorcycle track racer who was successful both in the speedway and on the long track.

At the age of eleven, he was already on a 500 cc speedway machine before he started his career in 1983 with Tom Dunker in the youth license class. Pollehn and Dunker quickly rose to become the most promising young German talents in the speedway, and in 1987 Pollehn also started in the international class.

His greatest success was winning the runner-up world championship in 1994 in Marianske Lazne Marienbad in the Czech Republic . Also worth mentioning are Pollehn's participation in the Speedway Team World Cup finals in 1994 in Brokstedt , winning the Speedway Vice DM in 1989, and participation in the Long Track World Championship Grand Prix in 1999 and 2002. Pollehn started in the Speedway Bundesliga for MSC Brokstedt and for ST Grizzlys Wolfslake-Berlin . In the British speedway professional league Pollehn had engagements in Ipswich, Long Eaton and Middlesbrough in the 1990s.
