André Roessler

André Rößler (born July 27, 1978 in Wolfen ; born André Nowack ) is a German actor and director . He lives in Berlin .

Life

André Rößler attended grammar school in Neustadt an der Orla , which he graduated from high school. In Neustadt he played in the school theater "Thig - Theater im Gymnasium Neustadt (Orla)". He studied chemistry for three years at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . In Jena he also worked as an actor at the local theater. He received his directorial training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . He completed this training in 2006 with a diploma. For his production "The dirty hands" at the Landestheater Marburg he received the 2011 award for "Best Director" at the Hessian Theater Days. The production was also awarded the prize for "Best Artistic Idea".

In the summer of 2005 he worked on a scene work for the artistic director's audition at the Berlin University of the Arts .

From 2013 to 2016 he was senior director at the Theater Vorpommern .

Since August 2016 he has been working as a freelance director again.
