Andrés Chitiva (born August 13, 1979 in Bogotá ) is a former Colombian football player who has acted in midfield or in attack .

Life

Chitiva began his professional career at his hometown club CD Los Millonarios , where he was under contract in the 1999 and 2000 seasons.

In early 2001 he moved to the Mexican first division club CF Pachuca , for whom he made his first division debut in a league game of Torneo Verano in 2001 at Deportivo Toluca , which was won 5-3 and to which he immediately contributed a goal.

He also had his most successful period with the Tuzos and won the Mexican championship four times, the CONCACAF Champions' Cup three times and the Copa Sudamericana once .

Since summer 2008 he has been on loan for various Mexican clubs and most recently in the second-rate Liga de Ascenso for the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz . In mid-2011 he moved to CF Pachuca , where he was only used once and ended his career at the end of the year.
