Andre Gassner (industrialist)
Andre Ulrich Jakob Gassner , also Andreas Gassner (born July 4, 1847 in Bludenz , † December 26, 1925 in Bozen ) was an Austrian industrialist.
Gassner was together with his brothers Anton (1851-1924) and Ferdinand (1842-1926) partners in his father's textile company in Bludenz, Getzner Textil .
First he attended the Vienna Commercial Academy , after which Gassner was employed by various textile companies. He was the first to market cotton from Egypt on the world market. Gassner also founded companies in Liverpool , New Orleans and Gladstone.
His cotton processing company, founded in Neumarktl , developed into the largest textile company in Yugoslavia .
