Andrea Beyer (* 1954 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German economist , professor and author .

Education

Beyer studied business education at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz from 1975 to 1981 . In 1988 she received her doctorate. rer. pole. with the subject of "Union wage policy in structurally weak sectors". Until then, Andrea Beyer was a research assistant at the Chair of Economic Policy with Werner Zohlnhöfer at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

Between 1989 and 1992 she was an editor at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , information services. Beyer has been Professor of Business Administration and Media Economics at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences since 1992 . She has been head of the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration since 2006. In the same year, Andrea Beyer started a series of annual study trips through the BRICS countries together with Lothar Rolke . After the BRICS countries, Vietnam, Mexico, Korea and Indonesia followed. In 2008 she was elected Vice President of the Mainz University of Applied Sciences. In 2012 Beyer was re-elected for four years. In addition to being a member of the state commission for dual study programs, she is represented in other bodies and committees. Beyer is an editor for the specialist magazine "update" for the business department and for the department's yearbook.
