Andrea Diewald (born December 28, 1981 in Rosenheim ) is a German figure skater .

biography

Andrea Diewald began figure skating when she was five. In 1996 she moved from EV Rosenheim to ERC Munich , where she trained with Thomas Wieser , Karin Gaiser and (since 1999) Alexander Wedenin . Her greatest successes were the German runner-up championships in 1997 and 2002 in individual races . In 2002 she took part in the European Championship , but was eliminated in the qualification for the short program .

Andrea Diewald ended her career as a single runner together with her sister Veronika, who was three years younger than her, in 2003. She then studied sports science in Darmstadt . Both Diewald sisters belonged to the Munich formation Magic Diamonds in the 2007/08 season . They work as junior coaches for their home club SV Pang .
